A few weeks ago I passed the web component developer exam (at middle august), but i forgot writing here in order to publish my result and experience. The exam was very easy, but sure, you need to study in order to pass, nothing is free in this life. In short, I read the HF book, when I finish that, then I re-read the book this time a little bit fast, and focusing in my weak points, weak points that I annotated at the first reading. Finally, I did not make any mock exam, but i would really wanted. Fortunately for those who are preparing for the test. Efraim!

I passed the scjp6 with 87%, and i have a friend who passed the exam too with 88%, we both studied with kathy sierra books, I think is the best book in order to get the certification. In addition, we neither read any other papper, book, overview, etc. The kathy sierra is a good book for several reasons, first, you can get a self test at end each chapter, beyond, if you buy the book, it come with a cd that have two master exams, the difficulty of the questions in both exams are similarity of the real exam. Finally, we take several mock exams, specifically, mock exams of whizlab. I think, with mock exams and kathy sierra book you will be able to take the exam. good lucky.

finally, i got scjp v6; it´s very cool, and after a big effort the results arrived. I spent almost five month studying, but was really the last three month when i put all my effort. initially, i started reading the kathy sierra book (SCJP6), but gradually, when the end was arriving i spent major time in practice with both master exam and mock exams of whizlab. I made around seven practice exams. in order to got the best preparation, as far as possible, i was making my own overview about my weaknesses while i was reading the book, at the end, i just focus in my weaknesses, and obviously, in the practice exams too.
