LET'S GET PHYSICAL
CODECXS QUARTERLY
After posting a few videos here and there on this Substack, I’ve decided to get real by building an audience in the world of flesh (as well as the digital realm).
I’ll be honest. Sharing videos on a regular basis works best online (If you’ve ever tried mailing a bunch of people DVDs, you REALLY know what I mean), but making connections works better in person. This is why I started the Cauldron Film Festival, and it’s why I’m starting a physical publication now.
It’s my hope that the vision of this slow-moving Substack can ride the wave of the events I orchestrate in the physical world.
CODECXS QUARTERLY is now a thing!
….and it will hit the streets in a couple of cities by February of 2026.

THANKS!

CODECXS QUARTERLY
We’ll keep this simple:
CODECXS is a new magazine focused on local (Intermountain West) arts and culture that will have its initial release during the 2026 Sundance Film Festival in Park City. Issues of the magazine will appear in hundreds of cafes, boutique shops, and galleries in Salt Lake City, Park City, Denver CO, and Boulder CO In January and February of 2026.
For our first issue, we will print close to 15,000 copies. Codecxs will be a FREE yet collectable quality publication that we hope to get in front of the eyes of intelligent and discerning audiences.
CODECXS LOOKS TO FILL A GAP IN THE WESTERN STATES ART COMMUNITY. WE FEEL WE CAN CONNECT A STRONGER NETWORK OF ARTISTS, FILMMAKERS, WRITERS, CULTURAL COMMENTATORS, AND CRITICS WITH HUNGRY ART AUDIENCES ACROSS THE VAST AND OPEN SPACES HERE IN THE WEST TO BUILD A VIBRANT AND INTELLECTUALLY UNIQUE ENVIRONMENT THAT COULD ONLY EXIST HERE, AND NOT IN ANY OTHER PLACE IN THIS WORLD.
