Phew, at last I made my banners for xxxholic_awards and my graphic muse has just come back. I can make icons again! But since I can't focus on something particular to make icons of, here's a meme stolen from ~~my icon goddess~~ eternalphoenix_:

The Killy obsession

While ~~feigning work at the office~~ browsing on onepiece_icons, I discovered 10variations, a community whose challenge consists in making 10 different icons from one single image. Since my icons are all in the same style T^T, I thought it would be a good idea to try and I entered with a Blame! image. Afterwards I realized that choosing such an image wasn't very clever because it was hard not to use my "grunge deluxe" style (© sweetpasta). But it still was a good exercise, especially to use different styles of text integration.

A Kei Toume mood theme

How to use it ?

# Paid accounts
1. Download the *.zip file and upload the images to your server or a Photobucket account. DO NOT change the file names.

2. Included in the *.zip file is a text file entitled mood_toume_tut.txt. Open this text file up in your word processor. Do a find/replace and replace every "http://your_address/" with the location of where you have hosted the image files.

3. Go to the Livejournal Command Console. In the box, enter this : moodtheme_create "Kei Toume moodtheme" "Kei Toume images" and press execute.

4. If you've done it correctly, you should get a message saying your mood theme has been created along with a mood theme ID. Write down the mood theme ID, you will need it for the next step.

5. Go back to the mood_toume_tut.txt file. Do a find/replace "your_number" with the # that LJ assigned to your mood set.

6. CTRL-A to select all the text in that file, then copy and paste it into the console box. Press "execute." It should give you a long list of commands to show that you've been successful.

7. To check if your mood theme has been set up correctly, go to http://www.livejournal.com/moodlist.bml?moodtheme=ID# -- but replace "ID#" with your theme's ID#. If it shows up, you know it worked !

8. Go back to the Modify Journal page. Scroll down to "select mood icon set." Look for one named "Kei Toume moodtheme," and select it. Then refresh your LJ to see if the pics show up.
