Best way to celebrate the Fourth?

Watch a movie written by a descendant of our former oppressors. ^^; But I was in a Potter-ish mood, so I finally set aside some time to watch "Chamber of Secrets." It'll warm me up for when I charge through "Order of the Phoenix"... whenever I have a complete day free (needed to get some errands handled)... and my roommate hasn't taken it with him on a trip...

But anyway, not quite as good as the first movie. They especially needed more emotion out of the villain; he was far too dreary and emotionless, where the book has him either mocking or irate. And the rescue from the spiders seemed out of nowhere, thanks to insufficient explanation. But both Lockhart and Myrtle were VERY well-played by their actors, and Lucius was pretty good too. Oh, and who on my friends list was making jokes about underage catgirls? ^^

Intrerestingly, when I saw the first movie I hadn't read a single HP book. This time I've got the first four all read; wonder how much that affected my perspective. (Other than allowing me to notice the real first appearance of the diary; it's tricky to spot if you aren't looking for it, but it's visible. Nice touch. So was the bit after the credits, for that matter.)
