Oracle provides many options for preventing downtime and data loss, all of which make up the Maximum Availability Architecture (MAA). The Oracle Maximum Availability Architecture offers a set of standard reference architectures–Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum Solutions– that comply with Customer Business Objectives. With multiple instances, the RAC system gives a transparent HA and scalability environment, while Data guard delivers a real-time data protection with near zero to zero data loss. One of the (MAA) principles we are going to explore in this lab is the combination of both Oracle RAC and Active Data Guard.  This guide will take you through the steps to configure a Data Guard –single instance– physical standby Database for a RAC Primary Database. Data Broker configuration and administration tasks (swicthover,validate..) will also be covered in this paper .<\/span><\/p>\n
