650nm Red Wavelength

Soft Tissue Treatment, Cosmetic Applications, and Neurological Therapy

650nm is the red laser wavelength and one of the strongest anti-inflammatory wavlengths. It is best known for treating soft tissue issues, skin conditions, wound care, burn healing, wrinkle reduction, refining pores, elastin production and a variety of superficial  treatments. Red lasers are anti-bacterial, anti-viral, anti-herpetic and they typically penetrate 1-2” depending upon the amount of power. Up to 500mW is available with the UltaLaser, which can be reduced in power if desired, and is much more preferable to the classic 10, 20 and 40mW red lasers that have been sold for the last couple decades at over inflated prices by big name brands. Red laser therapy has been made popular in the Chiropractic industry over decades, as an effective support for neurological applications, energy pathway tracing on the scalp and body. Red Laser is good for treating most soft tissues issues: skin conditions, hair-loss, rashes, sores, acne, herpes, shingles, small joints, the lymphatic system, acupoint therapy and more.

810nm Infrared Wavelength

The 810nm wavelength is optimal for PhotoBioModulation (PBM), favored by European laser specialists like Dr. Weber and Dr. Hamblin for its ideal combination of penetration depth and positive photo-chemical reaction, particularly effective for cell regeneration and long-term rehabilitation. It maximizes interaction with mitochondria, enhancing ATP production, and improves oxygen delivery by red blood cells, aiding in tissue regeneration. Specifically, it activates hemoglobin binding to oxygen, expediting healing, and facilitates calcium distribution within cells and mitochondria, crucial for cell function and lifecycle.

915nm Infrared Laser Wavelength

Vasodilation, Nitric Oxide Production, Improved Micro-circulation and Support for Nerve Healing.

915nm is popular in class 4 lasers for vasodilation. It’s highly effective at stimulating oxygen transport and hemoglobin activity, which helps support circulation to the extremities, which is particularly good for healing nerve issues such as neuropathies. 915nm also provides analgesic pain relief and supports deep tissue and cell metabolism. The 915nm wavelength also supports the mitochondria to produce ATP. Overall the 915nm wavelength works synergistically with the other wavelengths in the quad to help ease pain, reduce excess inflammation, heal nerves, stimulate micro-circulation, increase cellular ATP and enhance muscle relaxation.

980nm Infrared Laser Wavelength

Rapid Pain Relief, Reducing Inflammation, and Muscle Relaxation.

980nm is the most popular in class 4 lasers for rapid pain relief and reduction of inflammation. For decades the 980nm has been the gold standard wavelength for most class 4 laser systems. At 980nm, much of the energy is converted to heat and absorbed by the blood/water in the tissue so it is significantly less efficient than 810nm at creating photobiomodulation, but superior for rapid analgesic pain relief and reduction of inflammation. The 980nm wavelength also affects the distribution of calcium by decreasing the amount of calcium within the mitochondria and increasing the calcium within the liquid of the cell. Stimulating cells with the 980nm wavelength laser therapy helps ease pain, stimulate circulation, and enhance muscle relaxation.

1064nm Infrared Laser Wavelength

Deep Tissue Penetration, Enhanced Metabolic Processes, Stimulating Collagen Production, Brain Support.

1064nm is scientifically proven to reach deeper levels through skin and tissues to stimulate production of collagen in the joints and spine. While some lasers are less efficient with certain skin types, the 1064nm wavelength is beneficial for use on all skin types. It delivers the longest and deepest penetration through the layers, with less dispersion in biological tissue, delivering extra pain melting power, and activating metabolic processes in deeper tissues, all with minimal increase in heat output, for increased speed and efficient healing. With 1064nm there is less dispersion in the biological tissue because there is a decreased amount of melanin absorption. It is also reported to improve human brain performance on cognitive tasks as well as to locally upregulate cerebral oxygen metabolism and hemodynamics.
