I3FLOAT is a European initiative designed to strengthen the floating offshore wind value chain by mobilising interregional innovation investments and accelerating the market readiness of advanced technologies. Funded under the Interregional Innovation Investments (I3) – Strand 1 programme and co-financed by the European Union through EISMEA, the project engages 24 partners across 8 European regions. Over 36 months, I3FLOAT will implement 10 innovation investments on four floating platforms and launch two Open Calls to support up to 50 SMEs. With a strong focus on less developed and outermost regions, the project boosts cohesion, competitiveness and sustainable growth.
