A próxima sessão À pala de Walsh, está marcada para dia 18 de Abril às 21h00 com o filme DOGFIGHT (1991), um filme a descobrir de Nancy Savoca, nunca estreado em Portugal.
Pós-projecção do filme, conversaremos com a realizadora, uma das vozes mais promissoras do cinema independente nova-iorquino dos anos 90.
Antes de partirem para combater no Vietname, um grupo de adolescentes joga um jogo em que tenta seduzir a rapariga mais feia que conseguir encontrar.

Todos os meses, só no Cinema Fernando Lopes
A partir de Fevereiro e todos os
meses, o Cinema Fernando Lopes recebe o À pala
de Walsh em sessões especiais comentadas. Sessões estas com a curadoria de
críticos do site, e para as quais será convocado um conjunto de convidados que
se destacam no actual panorama cultural. Começando no cinema da ternura de
Joachim Trier, com Valor Sentimental (2025), as sessões À pala de Walsh
contemplarão tanto as estreias dos filmes de Paula Tomás Marques e Sylvain
Chomet como repescarão filmes de Werner Herzog, Terry Zwigoff e Nancy
Savoca, espelhos da pluralização que cimentou o crescimento do site e que agora
integrará a sala do Cinema Fernando Lopes: “todo o cinema vale a pena” (O
Cinema Não Morreu, 2017). 


Esta tão aguardada sessão especial contará com a presença de Susana Bessa, Rui Alves de Sousa, Ricardo Vieira Lisboa e Luís Mendonça.
