CIC Invests in Southern Arizona

Building an economy for all

As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit committed to expanding access to economic opportunities, Community Investment Corporation (CIC) focuses on supporting our community in building generational wealth through homeownership, entrepreneurship, and education – three distinct program areas that are foundational to individual and community well-being.

We help first-time homeowners qualify for and stay in their homes through Mortgage Credit Certificates and Down Payment Assistance.

About CIC Tucson

We finance small businesses and nonprofits in Southern Arizona, and promote innovative private investment in local, early-stage businesses.

We train families in parental engagement skills, kindergarten readiness, and school research. We help schools with access to capital and bond compliance.

What Our Clients Say

"I can’t thank CIC enough for giving me the opportunity to show what I can do as a business. I wouldn’t have been able to open my business without the loan I received."
Sydney Adams
Owner, Sydney's Sweet Shop
“Working with CIC was the easiest application process we’ve ever been through. It was super fast and the most communicative process we’ve been through to access capital. We have been able to expand our transportation infrastructure which just means more money for more farmers.”
Founder, Pivot Produce
“The experience working with the CIC team was pretty flawless. They were available to answer any questions I had and the website also had a lot of information readily available 24/7.”
Fabiola Bedoya
MCC Client
“Amazing experience working with CIC members and overall process was easy and accessible. Staff was personable and willing to meet us where we are and fulfill our needs.”
Eric Rios
Owner, Mobile Tread and Tire
“CIC was willing to consider all of our assets, our previous experience, our community engagement and other non-traditional factors when approving our loan. It was a unique situation and needed a timely solution. CIC went to bat for us and we are grateful. It kept our business alive and our staff employed.”
Owner, Sonoran Stitch Factory
"This meeting was very helpful. It was informative and opened my eyes on the importance of picking the right schools for your child. They not only talked about the importance of researching schools, but also show us how to do it. It will definitely be using the app that was presented in our schools search for kindergarten."
Kiawana Flores
Parent, Arizona Head Start Parent Association
“CIC has been amazing to work with and we're entirely grateful for the work they do for the community.”
President/CEO, Southern Arizona Hispanic Chamber of Commerce

"CIC has gone beyond expectations for us and the community.”
Robert Palmer

"You make such an impact in our community. I want to share a success story! My best friend recently took her son out of school, because he was having behavior problems. She is planning to homeschool and I was able to tell her the information you shared about the enrichment scholarship. She is a low income single mama so this scholarship would be invaluable to her. She just found out today that she was approved and can get this money to help her son thrive at home."
Marisa Guthrie
Librarian, Quincie Douglas Library
