Chrometa 2.0

Chrometa is a Web- and desktop-based application for time and data managing. What does this mean? This means that upon installation, Chrometa will install a desktop tracker on your computer to monitor your system’s activity, and will synchronize the data collected with the corresponding server on an hourly basis. An icon for Chrometa will appear on your desktop’s system tray, serving mainly as a link to the Web side of the application. Here is where the real user interface lies.

This application will be of benefit for any user who needs to keep track of how their time is being spent, or to know which the most common categories they work on are. So, actually, Chrometa can be useful for nearly everyone. You will need to create a web user account in order to access the program’s user interface. After logging in, you will be presented with the Dashboard. There you will see a pie graph that will let you see at a glance what apps you use the most, based on the time spent on each of them. Additionally, it will display the corresponding Active Time, Away Time, Billable Time, and an estimate of your billings.

In another tab - the Reports tab - you will find a list summarizing every application you are using and the percentage of time spent on each. If you want to look at things even closer, you can view the time stamps and see a log of every event registered, ranging from web pages visited, videos watched, applications opened, etc. All of these with their respective time log.
