Is anyone else watching "Scandal"? I really liked the first episode. Olivia kicks ass!
Is anyone else watching "The Firm"? Is it true that it's been canceled?
Is anyone else watching "Doc Martin"? I love this series!
Is anyone else wathching "The Finder"? Didn't think I'd like it but I do. They'll probably cancel it.
Is anyone else watching "Coronation Street"? It's been on the air longer than the majority of my LJ friends have been alive! It's da bomb!
I should be in a snit that the evening eps are postponed but it's the NHL PLAYOFFS!!!!
That reminds me, I should get out my riot gear......

I'm glad I don't get any of those fancy cable networks (but I wish I did!) or I'd have trouble leaving the house.

I gotta say; it's amazing just how enjoyable it is to escape from the real world with a remote, a tall drink on ice and a great television (that special friends gave you one Christmas). Thank Gawd for mindless entertainment for the masses!

Does anyone have any series/mini-series they would recommend I get into?
The British "Sherlock" series comes highly recommended. What else is out there I don't know about?

In other more important news. *squee* I am so excited about THIS!!!
I stumblingly read the French books when I was little. I loved Tintin and his dog Milou (aka in English as Snowy) and the rest of the characters when I was a kid. I'msoexcited!!! *squee*
I might break down and actually go to a movie theatre for the first time possibly in over a year to see it!!! Who's with me????

Apart from dropping in on the second season of Hawaii 5-0, I think I might just spend another hour in front of the tele this season for Grimm. It was pretty good.

October 31st is just around the corner

Hallow'en's nearly here and there are so few houses decorated for it in my neighbourhood this year.
That's kind of sad. Yeah, there are a few cheesey 'peel-off' pumpkin, ghost and witch stickers on a few front windows but that's about it. I remember when people would cob-web entire front porches, park styrofoam headstones in the yard, have a half a dozen ghosts swinging in a tree in their front yards and have a gallery of elaborately carved pumpkins on their front steps. Either I'm not looking hard enough or people just aren't that into it anymore. *sad sigh*
Is the economy to blame? Is this 'holiday' in danger of extinction?
Where will the little princesses, little cowboys, pint-sized super heroes and babies dressed up as pumpkins end up? What will pet owners do on October 31st now that they can't make rover into a Star Wars vehicle or their unimpressed cat into a pirate for the day?
