[Ken flicks on the video, and there's an egg sitting on a pillow, shaking a bit. There's a small crack in the top, and as the video continues, it shakes harder.]

I think it's about to hatch!

[Indeed, there's a loud crack, and the brown tip of an ear peeks through, and then there's another crack as the egg shatters completely and an Eevee lies there, slightly damp. Ken sets the video down and towels the little pokemon off.]

There you are... now I have to figure out if you're a boy or a girl... um. Your species does have genders, right?

[Suddenly, he remembers that he's got the video on, and he reaches over and turns it off.]

[Vatheon really seems to like Ken in armor, doesn't it? This week, he's been shoved into this, though with a spear instead of swords. There's a brief grin from Ken, as he picks up the SFC and tucks it into a strap, carrying it with him as he leaps onto a roof.]

[There's no real sound, other than the clatter of his shoes on the roofs, the rush of wind… and Ken laughing.]

[The communicator falls with a 'thwump', showing Ken with a small bundle of orange fur in his arms. He sets it down, sitting with his back to the communicator.]

I'm gonna have to train you. Koromaru was different, so we didn't have to train him to not go on the floor... and the others are going to be mad at me if I let you go wherever.

[There's a soft 'click' as Ken attaches a leash to the... bundle.]

I have to name you, too - hey, where are you going?

[The puppy sniffs around him, and over to the communicator. Ken's eyes go wide as he spots the flashing light, and snatches it off the floor, turning it off.]

[ Personality ] :

The first thing someone might notice about Ken is his short stature - which, unfortunately, is something that Ken hates. He acts older than his age as a result, trying to act like an adult as much as he can and prove to people that he should be taken seriously despite his age. He doesn't like being doubted, because when his mother was attacked, no one would believe that she was killed by a Persona, though he didn't know what it was at the time.

His mother's death affected him deeply, and his initial Persona reflects his reaction to that event - Nemesis. Ken holds grudges, and does what he can to pay people back for what happens to him if it's bad. Shinjiro's last words are starting to have an effect on Ken - maybe he should let go of the past and fight for the future. That's what his mother would want, right? Still, it's hard to let go of habits that he held onto for so long.

Around most people, he comes off as a rather shy person, someone who acts well beyond his age. He doesn't really like to be involved with or at least be seen enjoying childish things, because he wants people to take him seriously so badly that he thinks people will think badly about his credibility if he's seen acting childish. He has a strong sense of right and wrong… it just might not always follow exactly what other people think that sense should be.

Ken fights with a spear to make up for his shortness, and drinks milk to try to get himself to grow taller (so much so that he gets sick from drinking so much milk). He also drinks coffee because that's what adults do. Secretly, he loves the show Featherman R and collects the figures.

[ Strengths/Weaknesses ] :

+ He's very skilled with a spear, to the point where he can smack the blunt end against the ground and swing around it.
+ He's very athletic for his age - he's fast and can dodge things without a ton of trouble.
+ He's very strong in his convictions - when he believes he should do something, he goes forward and does it despite what anyone else would think.

Persona:

+ He can summon Kala-Nemi with his Evoker.
+ Kala-Nemi blocks Light attacks.
+ Kala-Nemi has the following skills:
Hama - 25% chance of instant death from the power of Light.
Cruel Attack - Inflicts a moderate amount of Pierce damage with even greater power if the target is knocked "Down".
Zionga - Inflicts a moderate amount of Electrical damage.
Diarama - Recovers a moderate amount of HP. Can be used in the field.

- Ken holds grudges and does not let go of them which has the potential to land him in serious trouble.
- He's now very uncertain about what to do, so he's having trouble holding onto his old convictions.

Persona:

- Kala-Nemi is weak against Darkness-based attack.
- He's very new at using Kala-Nemi so he's still feeling out what he can do with it.

Ken sat up, looking around the area, trying to figure out what was going on. His Evoker was still stuck in his pocket, as he discovered when he patted himself down. His clothes were kind of damp, though. Where was he?

… And, more importantly, were the others here, wherever this was? This couldn't have been something the Shadows did - they didn't have this kind of power, did they?

He stood up, noticing the star-shaped thing sitting on the ground near him. He grabbed it and shoved it into his pocket, thinking over the events of the last few days.

Shinjiro had died, and died saving him. He still wasn't sure what to make of all that. He had wanted to kill the guy himself, but then he had to go and get himself killed by that crazy shirtless Strega guy…

Whatever. He'd figure it out. He could take care of himself for the time being. He just had to find somewhere with food and a place to sleep…
