I am really dorking out with Twitter now. One of my highlights of the weekend was that Bianca Kajlich (she’s on Rules of Engagement and I have a slight girl-crush on her) replied to one of my tweets! Even though I was correcting her, haha.

So last night I was bored and started looking through old posts when I first started LJ… 10 years ago!!!!! I can’t believe it’s been that long. I also can’t believe how annoying some of my posts were… I had days when I posted 9 times a day! It’s just funny to see how much has changed since then. And also how much I drank, lol.

Right now I have a two week trial of the paid account... why do I have a feeling it will be enough to get me sucked in and go back to paid? I hate the ads and missed all of my old icons.

I'm still unsure about this season of Idol. The guys I thought I was going to love tonight were eh, and some of the guys I don't like were really good! It's hard to make any decisions until you see the top 12 together.

So weird how today was just like yesterday - like 70* and not a cloud in the sky, and now all of a sudden tonight we got this crazy thunderstorm! I hope it stops soon bc I want to watch the Jets game, and it's def going to be over WAY past my bed time now.

I ate 3 apple turnovers tonight. So not necessary. They were the Pillsbury ones and right out of the oven = ohh so good.

I've randomly been taking pics of Duncan for like the past two months and when I took the pumpkin picking pics off my camera I realized there were a few cute ones so I figured I'd share.

Now after all that cuteness... I posted this on FB already since it's a part of one of the groups I'm in, but figured I would share here too.

So there's a group on FB for the dog park we always take Duncan to. The guy who runs the page is a photographer, so a lot of the time he brings his camera and takes pics of everyone.

Mostly pics of all the dogs just chilling. I was looking at the thumbnails and saw a pic of one dog who looked totally ready to kill someone... so I zoomed in on it... yes, that's my lovely Cujo. haha

He always manages to look so vicious when he's playing!

Aww and when I was uploading these I saw all the pics from when he was still a puppy.. so cute and tiny. :)

One of the aides at work is nominated for a national award and everyone is supposed to go online to vote for him. They have a little blurb about each nominee to explain why they should win.

This one was my favorite: "blah blah blah…When a consumer had an uncharacteristic “accident” in public, Brandon took him to the bathroom and gave him his pants – spending the rest of the day in his boxers and sparing the individual from ridicule.” Hahah ummm hello inappropriate?!?!

In other news, I think this headline is awesomely misleading: "NYC cyclist killed after she's hit by car door."

When you go to actually read the story, this is the first line: “Police say a woman biking in Brooklyn was hit by a car door and propelled into the path of a city bus that killed her.”

Annnd this is why I don't normally update every day. haha

I forgot about this - I've been cracking up over it all day!

My sister was at some hole in the wall bar in the city last night and Kiefer Sutherland was there, completely drunk out of his mind.

He even tried convincing her to go home with him, even saying that he could tell the guy she was with was "an asshole, you can tell by his shoes!" :lol:

AHHHH HELP!!

I still have to make a real update and catch up on my friends page, but I just read this post and freaked out!!

I HOPE I'm just over-reacting but I'm so scared of losing this! Does anyone know how to back up their journal?? I have 8 years of posts to save bc I'm a giant loser.

I mean I'm sure they'd have to give us some notice but who knows.

About to go to Job #2 in a few... when it's over around 8 I'm heading to the apartment to hopefully FINALLY finish most of the cleaning. I could be there a while, so no bar for me. A little sad but I'd rather not fight the crowds.

But I just wanted to remind everyone to look for my cousin's band Push Play in the Macy's Thanksgiving parade! I think they're supposed be on on the Pirates of the Carribean float sometime in the 10 o'clock hour. :-)

And most importantly have a Happy Thanksgiving! <3

Having to take a sick day when you're actually sick sucks.

I have a ton of things I wanted to do today, like take out my winter clothes, vaccuum, do some laundry and get rid of some of the crap in my room so I don't have to move all of it. But instead I slept til 11 and it took all of my energy just to go downstairs and make a cup of tea. I only have a cold, but it's a really sucky one. Blah. /end whining.

I really need to go food shopping. I've basically been living on Lean Cuisines and both grilled cheese and PB&J Uncrustables for the past two weeks. Haha I can't help it, they're so good! And yes I am 7.

Done and done.

Best. Concert. Ever.

I just saw Billy Joel play the last concert at Shea Stadium. One of my favorite singers at one of my favorite sports stadiums.

He had a few "special guests" - Tony Bennett, Steven Tyler, Roger Daltry, Garth Brooks and oh yeah - PAUL MCCARTNEY.

It was absolutely amazing and I have a tonnnn of pics and videos. Tomorrow is the block party so I'm sure there will be even more after that.

Awesome start to the weekend.

My cousin's band Push Play was on TRL yesterday! They interviewed them for a little bit and then they did a Rock Band competition on the Wii. Since they won the competition they played one of their songs at the end!

When they first show them, my cousin is the one to the left of the host. The first 5 1/2 mins of the clip are the contest, starting at 5:40 is their song - I don't think they're used to playing acoustically. :)

Today was an awkward and drama-filled day at work, but we're not going to talk about that.

Instead I will ask opinions about something that has made me both cry and jump up and down for a few hours today.

NY Lottery Winning numbers: 15, 21, 29, 37, 41, 44. Bonus Number 51
My numbers: 21, 25, 37, 41, 44, 51

I will now direct you to the Drawing Results/Prize Money page for yesterday. Please go there, look at the numbers I have and give me your best guess as to what my prize money should be.

So APPARENTLY the bonus number only counts if you get 5 regular numbers. Despite the fact that I had 4 numbers PLUS the bonus number, it counts the same as if I just had 4 numbers. Makes no sense to me.

The second grid, which I was originally looking at, only counts if you pay an extra dollar per game to achieve "extra bonus levels."

So instead of getting the $1,837 I thought I was getting for a few glorious minutes, I get $27.

Awesome.

Monday Monday

I wanted to make my weekend even cooler after Friday night bowling and cancelled Bingo plans. So what did we do yesterday? Went to Chuck E. Cheese. For a 30th birthday party.

I remember LOVING Chuck E Cheese as a kid. Now I give my parents big props for ever taking us there, bc we were only there for about an hour and a half and I wanted to shoot myself. Plus it seemed like they were trying to screw kids out of money who didn't know any better - we attempted to play 5 different games and 4 out of 5 of them didn't work (either ate our token, didn't give out the tickets, or had buttons that didn't work.) Even Whack A Mole was broken.

I forgot to set my alarm last night, something I haven't done in forever! Luckily by some miracle I still woke up at 7:25 which is only about 10 mins later than I normally get up. Amazed that that actually happened.

In the past month I've gotten two magazine subscriptions delivered to the house that I know I never signed up for - Lucky and Redbook. I've been checking my credit and debit card statements but no charges have showed up. They don't have any other info on the magazine about where it's coming from - I'm just afraid I'll randomly have charges on my card six months from now. :\

I am sew smrt.

Three things from today:

#1. I discovered that Hannah Montana and Miley Cyrus are the same person. Yes I am a moron.

#2. The smoke alarm went off in Chris and Lesley's building while we were playing Kabooki on the Wii. We ignored it until we opened the door and saw smoke in the hallway and proceeded to freak out. I kept running around asking Lesley, "Where's your safe?!? Get the safe!!" (They didn't have one.) Fish wanted everyone to jump off the balcony into the parking lot. Luckily the person down the hall just burned food and a crisis was averted.

#3. At the last minute we decided to go down to Atlantic City for the day tomorrow. My cousin and a few of his friends are going to the Borgata, so we're leaving tomorrow morning and losing money til around 9ish I'm guessing. Yay for road trips!

I'm already a week behind with pictures so I'll try to catch up from last Saturday, the third annual Cheesey Christmas Sweater party at the Duguay's. There's usually around 50 people plus a cash prize for the cheesiest sweater so some people go all out as you'll see. :)

Note to self: Never go see a movie in IMAX again. We went tonight to see I Am Legend and I literally spent at least half of the movie with my eyes closed bc I felt so nauseous. And Keith actually left after about 45 minutes to puke. (to be fair, he's felt sick since yesterday.) The movie itself was pretty good, kind of a zombie version of Castaway but I probably would have liked it more if I was able to actually see more of it.

IN THE AGE OF TIVO AND DVR WHY WOULD YAHOO POST THE RESULTS OF SURVIVOR IN A HEADLINE ON THE MAIN ENTERTAINMENT PAGE?!?!

God. Just write "Survivor Winner Announced,"... they didn't have to write the freaking name. They're getting a nasty email from me later.

They did this during the Olympics too - posted all the results as they happened during the day when it wasn't being televised here til nighttime.

Well, that makes the final four episodes in a row of Survivor that got spoiled for me.

Can someone please explain to me why I've had the Pee Wee's Playhouse song stuck in my head since the second I woke up this morning?!

Also, does it make me slightly bizarre that I woke up on the right side of my bed this morning when I normally sleep on the left, but still crawled out the left side because I was actually afraid of "getting up on the wrong side of the bed"?

Today is going to be a loooong day. Work 8:30-4:30 and then I have to stay there until 7 since we have an Open House tonight and I've been "volunteered" to sign people in. I think I get paid for it though, or if I don't I can come in 2 hours late tomorrow. And then I have to come home and pack, which I haaate doing since I'm anal and have to make sure I have every little thing. But then tomorrow night is Notre Dame for the weekend, yay! Keith and I even bought matching ND hats bc we're dorks like that. (Actually he wasn't thrilled about it but too bad. :))

SUPER annoyed at my sister right now. I find it such a strange coincidence that the same week she decides to start downloading songs from some Russian website and making flyers for her bar with some weird graphic program - MAGICALLY the computer just stops working and she had nothing to do with it. It would just start to turn on and then turn itself off over and over again, sometimes pausing at the dreaded blue screen.

I was going to try to have it fixed but instead just reinstalled Windows - so I lost all my programs, my bookmarks and most importantly all my pictures from the past year which really sucks. I have most of them uploaded on Photobucket but only the small versions, not the sizes big enough to print out. RAH! Also for some reason now the Yahoo main page won't open at all so I can't get to my mail. I hate sharing my computer with someone.

Anyway. Today was supposed to be Keith's football team's homecoming, but it's been pouring since yesterday so I'm not going. So dumb that they waited until the last game to have it because now they can't even reschedule homecoming.

But my big plan for later is to go to Lesley's B.Y.O.P and K party. I'll wait til I have the pictures for you to figure out what that stands for. :) AND the Austin's are having a "Green Party" in November. If it's anything like the Orange Party from a few years ago, it should be amazing. The next few weeks are going to be busy, I love that!

Tuesdays: Singing Bee, The Biggest Loser, House, Law and Order: SVU
Wednesdays: Kid Nation, Kitchen Nightmares, Beauty and the Geek, Top Chef, CSI: NY
Thursdays: Survivor, CSI, The Office, Grey's Anatomy - have to choose 2 out of the last 3 bc Tivo can only tape 2 at a time - I think CSI might lose out.
Sundays: Cold Case

Other shows I Tivo and don't even know what day they're really on: Real World, Bridezillas, Don't Forget the Lyrics, Ace of Cakes, My Big Fat Fabulous Wedding, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Inside American Jail, The Soup, Dirty Jobs and Mythbusters. Plus old reruns of Scrubs, Friends, The Office and Seinfeld. Ridiculous!!!

I made a Facebook account today after complete boredom at work... I still can't figure out how to exactly add people but here's my page - I think. Right now I still like MySpace better.

Got my hair cut. I always either chicken out and not get enough taken off, or do something drastic and it's way too short for a few months. Low fat Cool Whip. Cinnamon or chocolate graham crackers. Put them together like an ice-cream sandwich. Freeze for a few hours.

I've seen this recipe online a few times and I'm like, how good could that possibly be? AMAZING I tell you.

Haha I've been eating those instead of doing crunches like I'm supposed to be doing right now. Keith's baseball game needs to be over bc I'm borrrred.
