Thursday thankful

Marce on cell phones.

"I bet you can't imagine life without a cell phone."

I only laughed before lobbing a paper ball at Emil. "We survived without them."

"When we were kids," he said. "Imagine: it would have been harder to organize rallies."

"No revolutions."

"Walking home all the time when you could have arranged for a lift."

"Having to leave announcements on bulletin boards."

"What about waiting up every night for one or the other to come home?"

Now it was Emil's turn to laugh. "I can't imagine you waiting up for me."

I shook my head. "No. I worry about you too."
