Twosday - Will I See Another Day? (Alice)
Tell us about two times you thought you were gonna bite the big one/die/not make it out alive.
Given that I fight monsters on a regular basis, I think it's appropriate I answer this question. Oddly enough, though, the first time I can think of actually involves the fire that killed my parents. I really wondered if I was going to make it during my mad dash to get outside -- especially when I hit the doorframe with my shoulder. (And then, when I did get out, discovering my mother and father weren't going to join me made me want to 'bite the big one' . . .)
The other time that comes to mind is when I was fighting a mutated duck, of all things. One with teeth and razor-edged wings. It took me far too long to kill, and there were some moments where I genuinely thought the damn thing was going to kill me instead. I think I pressed on just because of how embarrassing it would have been to be killed by a duck, even a vicious one.
