Double Munday! Theme Songs & Scenes To Write

Yes, I'm still around -- the week of the hurricane my net was knocked out for a while, and then it's been kind of hectic for me what with class cancellations, NaNo, and other stuff. So here's my attempt at getting back into the groove:

Does your character have a 'theme song', either ICly (chosen by them) or OOCly (by you)? Some song that they/you feel just sums up their life and struggles and personality? If so.... share it! Feel free to elaborate on why it fits the character.

I don't know if I have one certain theme song for Victor. He's actually got an entire playlist over on Playlist.com: Victor's playlist. Of those, I think "Somewhere I Belong" by Linkin Park works the best as a theme song. Yes, kind of weird for usually-cheerful Butterfly Boy, but -- well, it sums up his sentiments about his life! He wants to find himself, find where he belongs. He wants to drop his past in Burtonsville and have a real new beginning in Secundus.

Speaking of which, the whole of Secundus has a theme song -- "Weird Science" by Oingo Boingo. XD It just feels like a good fit -- and besides, Butterfly Boy loves the song.

As for Lucy, I'm not sure, but I kind of like "Don't Worry, Be Happy" for her. She really does try to go through life with that sort of positive attitude. And it's also the sort of song I can see her enjoying as well.

What are your favorite type of scenes to write? Fight scenes? Love scenes? Funny scenes? Dramatic moments? Why? Do you make an attempt to write outside your comfort zone and try others, or do you tend to indulge yourself?

I guess I'd say I like writing comedic scenes the most -- they're the easiest for me, and I do enjoy making others (and myself) laugh. I also like writing tender moments between people -- whether romantic or platonic. Basically, I guess I'd say I like writing friends being friends together. And yeah, I indulge myself a bit -- most of my oneshots tend to be characters just interacting on an average day. I have to say, though, that this can depend some on the story being told. In "Secundus," one of my favorite scenes to write was Victor's big dramatic rant as he tells everyone he's a Touched. That was fun. XD
