1. Are you doing NaNo this November? Why, or why not?
I am. I don't have a lot going on right now and I really need to write this story. I need the deadline to help me get my bum in my seat and write.
2. How do you feel about the challenge of writing a novel(la) of 50k words in a month?
It's really tedious while it's happening but once it's completed, it's very satisfying.
3. If you have tried before, did you succeed? Fail? A bit of both?
I've done this twice before, and won once and failed once. So, a bit of both then. :|
4. What advice do you have to a would-be-novelist (NaNo or otherwise)?
Don't worry about mistakes or messing up or anything like that. You're going to have to edit and rewrite this anyway, so on your first draft just worry about getting your ideas out.
5. Are you a plotter that outlines everything ahead of time, or are you more into figuring it out as you go along?
I have vague outlines and figure out the rest as I'm going along.
6. What will your novel be about this year? Who are the characters? What is the plot?
It's basically a surreal dark-comedy slice-of-life love story between a robot and a cyborg. The characters are Carbon Iwakura (the girl in my icon) and Xander Godsafe (they've both popped up in this comm before). The story just cover the first year of their time together.
7. What NaNo support would you like to see charloft offer?
I really don't know.
