Sunday troper-iffic!!
Authors: think of a specific trope (or more than one if you like) that your characters seem to favor and then:
Characters: LIVE THAT TROPE. Embrace it and then express it. Publicly, if possible. Maybe you are just That Person that saves kittens from trees. Or every argument you ever have is loud and involves as many spectators as possible because misery shared is misery ..shared....
There was no way anyone could miss her in the park. It didn't matter that her red vest was not sparkly; in fact it only made her outfit seem that much more intimidating.
The other lawyers groaned on seeing her. "Marce, you cannot wear that to meet your client!" one of the women chided.
"I'll hide it under my blazer," Marce said simply. She smoothed down the fabric, making sure the hem didn't catch in her slacks. "Anyway it looks like an actual outfit, not something exactly out of a musical theatre thing..."
"Do you always have to be the lady in red?"
"I like red."
"Ugh!"
