I don't know if I can say I was taken in, but -- well, thinking about it, this describes my mother very well. At home, she would go on and on about how we were the equal to any aristocrat and should be treated as such. But the moment we actually met any nobility, she was all smiles and compliments. I suppose for a while I thought that was a normal part of life, but it didn't take long for me to realize it wasn't exactly nice. Mostly because Miss Horrocks would complain about her doing that, saying it was setting a bad example for me. If you ever wonder how I turned out so differently from my parents, you can thank all the servants I grew up with. They raised me very well.

This is the clock tower that houses Big Ben in London. Contrary to what many of you may believe, Big Ben is not the tower itself, nor any of the clocks. Big Ben is actually the largest of the bells inside. This is important to know when I explain the Secundus version. Because we do have our own copy of this tower and its clocks. However --
Ours has Cuckoo Ben.
