Saturday enjoying and improving

I arise in the morning torn between a desire to improve the world and a desire to enjoy the world. This makes it hard to plan the day.

Marce's POV

Who said you can't enjoy improving the world? Maybe for some people 'enjoying' the world means taking the world as it is: sitting with a cup of coffee in the sunshine, laughing at the foibles of the human race, and being thankful for escaping catastrophes. I do my fair share of that, but I find I'm happiest when I am doing something about the world around me. It makes my work so much more fun, especially when I see the impact of what I'm doing. Not that I'm less than grateful for the 'little things' in life, but I've learned that they can only take me so far.

Call me a workaholic, but I got into law to help people, my work became one of my passions, and I get up in the morning wanting to improve the world---and I know I will get a kick from it, do something about the 'fire in my bones' (as we refer to it sometimes), and maybe be a little historic.
