Tuesday opportunities

Opportunity knocks, but if you don't open the door it moves on pretty quickly... or does it? Tell us about two opportunities you let pass you by, and why.

Emil's take

When I was an undergrad, I was given an offer to work with Mr. Gonzaga, one of the best economists in the city, and the head of a think tank. I passed up the offer to work on a permanent basis with him, since I was heading off to law school.

Then the second was the opportunity to move abroad, to start over in Canada. I didn't take that either for two reasons: the cases I couldn't drop, and the very reason that I got into law in the first place---to help people.
