Tuesday turnarounds
You made a decision. You were sure it was the right one. But... eventually... you came around to the other side of view or took the other road or otherwise changed your mind.
What times were those?
Everyone is answering this prompt
Marce: I decided to stay away from my hometown, San Mariano, for a long time. With my family broken up, there was nothing for me to come back to there. However when Kari asked for my help with getting the youth together before an election, I couldn't say no. So back I went, for the summer of 2010 at least.
Then there was my deciding at a young age not to get married. But I met Emil, and we know how that ended.
Emil: What about the entire beginning of my college life? I thought I had it together: take Economics, join a company, get rich, have a million girlfriends and live abroad. But I didn't count on lots of things. So to cut a very long story short, I ended up in law school and becoming a defense lawyer specializing in labor cases. I didn't have a million girlfriends; I only had three ever---and I married the last one. I'm still living in the Philippines too.
Darren: I thought I'd live in London forever. Then I had to come home to Manila and teach while doing drama. Now I'm abroad again...not in Broadway but in California. Funny where life leads you.
Ida: I went into psychology as a pre-med course. I decided halfway in that I didn't want to go to medical school. So I botched my entrance exam.
Mark: I promised not to look for my biological parents. Then I had my two older biological children, so I got curious for their sakes.
Lize: I got married to Jace. I thought we'd be together forever, but well I guess not.
