Friday: Past & Future
Imagine that you've somehow gained access to a time machine. Make a list of advice you'd impart to your past (or questions you'd ask your future) self.
To my past self:
1. Don't be such a jerk to that one guy you're dating when you see Mr. Yummy. Mr. Yummy is going to leave you stranded when you go to that dance, and you're going to be out both a boyfriend and a friend afterward.
2. Theater is going to be more a part of your life than music, so you might want to think about a theater major. (Don't you dare give up your violin, though.)
3. Don't tell Mom and Dad about your powers! Trust me, I know they're cool, but they're not the kind you can prove to anyone exists. You're just going to get yourself into a BOATLOAD of trouble if you speak up.
To my future self:
1. Did we ever live somewhere out of America? (Hawaii doesn't count, it's a state.)
2. Do I ever meet anyone I want to have a permanent relationship with? (Not obligated to tell me even the sex, just say yes or no.)
3. Has global warming completely wrecked the planet or no? (I suppose I could get evidence of this just by visiting the future in the first place, but I'd like to know first-hand what my future self knows about it. I want to know if there's any place I need to visit before it gets wrecked.)
