Friday What Happens To Me In The Future?
Imagine that you've somehow gained access to a time machine Doc's gotten his time machine working and for some reason doesn't object to you speaking to one of your other selves. Make a list of advice you'd impart to your past (or questions you'd ask your future) self).
I'm a little too worried that giving any advice to my past self would change history enough that I wouldn't end up in Secundus, which would cause a paradox. So instead, here's a few things I'd like to ask my future self:
I tried to make them simple "yes/no" or "able to be answered fairly vaguely" questions -- I want to know just enough to reassure myself of a happy future, but not enough to possibly change said future. (Though I suppose any future knowledge would lead to change. . .but I still think vague answers are the safest.)
I'm a little too worried that giving any advice to my past self would change history enough that I wouldn't end up in Secundus, which would cause a paradox. So instead, here's a few things I'd like to ask my future self:
- How is my relationship with my parents?
- Do I ever get any of my entomological drawings published?
- Is everyone I know happy with their lives?
- Do I ever get to meet Marty's girlfriend? (I've always wanted to!)
- Do Alice and I get married?
I tried to make them simple "yes/no" or "able to be answered fairly vaguely" questions -- I want to know just enough to reassure myself of a happy future, but not enough to possibly change said future.
