Munday: 24 Hours
Your character has just been informed they have 24 hours left to live, reason for death up to you.
How do they react to this? Do they try and fight their fate? Accept it calmly? Burst into tears? Quickly call all loved ones together for a party? Call up old enemies and try to patch things up one last time? What is your character like in the face of certain death? What plans, if any, do they make for their funeral?
Truthfully almost all of my characters go through this:
Sveta - It's hard for her to simply accept death, even if it's by the hand of the one she had pledged loyalty to. Despite that her first reaction is too accept it, so she'd make a big party and get herself wasted. Then she'd realize that she'd come too far to simply die, so she'll fight for her life with all she has.
Carter - There woldn't be any doubt in his mind from the moment he hears the news that he has to survive no matter the costs and consequences. He'll spend his time preparing for the battle and thinking of the best way he could attack and defend.
Marianne - She would accept her destiny sobbing and with eyes reddened from tears, but with as much dignity as she can muster. Marianne would go and visit the Air and Water elements that have arrived with Adwen. She'll probably break down and cry her heart out. She'll also write a letter to those close to her heart and tell them how much she loves them and not a word about what is to happen to her.
Mikael - He'd go without much trouble. He'll feel disappointed that he couldn`t complete all of his great ideas or confess to Marianne. He'll destroy his unfinished projects and the good ones leave to humanity to find. He'll hug Poga, sit and wait. Before he dies he'll whisper a prayer and hope to meet Marianne on the other side.
Aleera - that's one person who's been trying to die as long as she had lived. She'll record a song for Nikita, one that expresses her feelings. She'll spend some time with Adwen - just lying on her lap, and not saying much. The rest of the day she'll spend with Josh, pretending to be alright, but inside herself she'll be second guessing her fate and looking for a better ending.
Nikita - Nikita finds her "death" unexpected, but perceives it as a salvation. She calls her mother to tell her how much she loves her, and that she is sorry, but they`ll never meet again. She leaves a voice message for her father where she expresses bitter guilt for disappointing him so much. After that she is pliant, allowing people to guide her to her final resting place. The fact that Josh is with her every step of the way helps a lot.
Joshua - He'd meet Debbie, and explain to her everything he's ever kept a secret from her. He'll thank her for everything and ask her to move on. Then he'll go to Nikita and do what he always does - be there for her.
Adwen - she'll say goodbye to everyone, leave directions for what needs to be done after she's gone and then die with a smile on her face.
