A.N.: This is actually a sequel to an earlier drabble, where Lucy was coaching this girl on projecting her voice. Now we see that hard work pay off.
The applause finally died down as the curtain dropped for the final time. Lucy smiled – another successful play, it looked like.
“Lucy!”
Amanda bounded up to her and wrapped her in a hug. “That was amazing!”
“It was!” Lucy agreed, returning the embrace. “You were great up there! Clear as a bell!” she added, wanting her protege to know she was proud of her.
“Thanks!” Amanda grinned at her. “I had a fantastic teacher.”
“Aww, shucks. . . .” Lucy twirled a lock of hair around her finger. “Just passing on what I’ve learned.”
“It’s really appreciated. Your afterparty drinks are on me.”
