A.N.: Lucy's planning an anniversary party for her parents in this fic. Her mother, Kim, is kind of a hippie type.
“That theme doesn’t look very African to me.”
“Beg pardon, honey?”
“I’m looking up party theme ideas,” Lucy explained, waving her mother over. “This site claims this is an African Night theme, but I don’t know. When I look at those huts, I think Native American teepees, not anything African.”
“Well, perhaps they have structures like that in Africa too,” Kim said, shrugging as she looked at the picture. “I mean, it’s not impossible.”
“Yeah, but it seems to be a recipe for confusion.” Lucy clicked away. “Don’t even really know why I care – you’d prefer some sort of hippie scene for your party, wouldn’t you?”
“I wouldn’t mind, but we’d have to check it over with your father first.”
