Ah, yes, delightful pessimism. I've met people like that. People who don't want to donate to charity or help clean up parks or do anything constructive because "I'm just one person. I can't change the world."
This is the thing, you people -- you're not working alone. You're doing this as part of a group -- part of a team. Your efforts will be combined with the efforts of others. Other people are donating to that charity. Other people are cleaning up that park. You yourself alone couldn't do it -- but the bunch of you can. And the best part is, every person who helps has the chance of inspiring another person to help. By donating even just a dollar, you might get a couple of other people thinking about doing the same. And then they get other people thinking about it, and so on and so forth. And that all adds up.
So yeah. I agree one person can't change the world. A big old group of people, though? They can. So get to it!
