Tonight, 100 words on working, specifically, working with someone you dislike.
Charlie's POV:
I bite my tongue. I really hope it’s not noticeable, but I am a hair’s breadth away from going ballistic if this pompous ass keeps talking. I don’t care how many stars he has on his shoulders. Every word out of his mouth is further proof that he has no significant experience out in the field, no appreciation for what my men and I go through every day of every mission.
I stand silent and still as he explains why our mission went to hell, why I lost two men: red tape, political considerations, bad luck.
“Understood, Major?”
“Yes, General.”
