Holiday advice
5 things to be sure to pack
1. A map of the one-way systems- seriously, we've had residents get confused with that!
2. Anything with GPS... just in case
3. Plenty of money- living here ain't cheep you know
4. An Oyster card (or buy one the moment you get here, whichever!)
5. Clothes- Visitors are thanked for not streaking in the streets!
4 tourist traps or attractions
1. Big Ben... or at least the clock part of it... it's the bell that's named Big Ben (for those of you who don't already know)
2. Tower of London (Martin says that he likes taking people to the tower, just cos.
3. London Zoo (Maku says VISIT THE GIRAFFES!!!!)
4. The SandWish Sandwich Shop! (as if we'd forget to mention that!)
(It's not a tourist trap or attraction but if you visit the Green- otherwise known as the Lloyd Rayne Shopping Centre- it's an experience not to be forgotten, mostly because of it's ridiculous layout!)
3 places to stay (or to avoid)
1. 238 Westbrough Road (Richard's old flat)- apparently his old landlady lets people do short-term rentals
2. Apparently the Days Inn Hyde Park is particularly nice, but we've never actually stayed there, so dunno
3. Avoid- Martin's house. He doesn't take in random guests, no matter how much they beg
2 of the most famous or infamous local residents
1. Famous... uh... I guess Maku Beenie counts as famous these days.
2. Infamous... do we have anyone? Oh, right, yeah. Katalin. Best to avoid her if she's walking around with her sword actually on show!
and 1 handy tip to help a traveller keep their money, their health, and their sanity
1. If you visit the Green, prepare to get lost. That's just the way it is
