Twosday: God Won't Grace Me
Twonight, please tell us TWO times you had a 'there but for the grace of' plot device arrive in the nick or (or at the worst possible!) time.
Damn it, I can only think of two bad ones. The first being when Kris showed up at Cameron's apartment, right after I'd gotten done telling her what a great gal she was. Talk about bad timing -- or maybe good timing. After all, it showed me what a two-timing bitch she was, and I didn't waste any more time on that relationship. Still feel for poor Kris, though. Hope she's doing well.
The other one is -- well, I think I might be the "plot device" here. It involves the wonderful timing of letting me out and into the dayroom of the asylum at the same time as that recovering pyromaniac. If only I'd been brought out just a little earlier or later. . .if he hadn't been in that room. . . Of course, I wonder -- would I have managed to inspire someone worse? I don't think there was anyone violent there, but -- you never know. And there's also the question of whether I would have even gotten out in that case. . . Holy crap, was inspiring the pyro the best thing that could have happened? That is a freaky thought.
