Tuesday right and wrong

Tell us about a time you did something the RIGHT way, and a time you did something the WRONG way.

Ida's take:

One thing I did in the right way was my choosing to get into clinical psychology instead of medicine. I made sure to research programs that were available to me given my situation at that time (fresh grad, newlywed, young mother). More importantly, I took stock of what I was good at and what I couldn't do. I knew I was great in my psychology classes but quite shoddy in the sciences. So I saved myself the agony and didn't force myself into medical school. It was a good decision in the end; now I can say that I'm a qualified clinical psychologist with a proper clinic, and the best part is that I like what I'm doing.

The thing I did in the wrong way was getting together with Mark. Admittedly we were a little....immature about it. If I could do things over, I would have wanted the days before our getting together to actually have been nice instead of filled with revenge plots, screaming matches, and blackmail. Things did work out very well in the end; I married him after all and I do not regret it. Still, it's a blot on my memory that I regret a bit.
