Munday - Goals And How To Reach Them
1. What is your short term writing goal?
To finish the 100 Drabbles of Summer (on target!), and to finish off and put up the stories completing another one of my RP Victor's backstory (he's a Corpse Bride-compliant Victor who ends up in the plot of "Alice: Madness Returns;" I've already got the first of what may be either a trilogy or quadrilogy up).
2. What is your long term writing goal?
By the end of this year, I want that last NaNo I have yet to complete up. I also want to finally clear out my backlog and post some other stories I've been sitting on or haven't worked on in a long while.
3. What do you do help yourself achieve your writing goals?
Usually, I try to set aside time in the morning to write something before I dive into doing anything else. I also try to work with my muse, hence why I'm finishing the new stories I'm more inspired on before heading back to the older stuff.
4. What usually prevents you from reaching a writing goal you have set?
I admit it, I'm a fantastic procrastinator, and I can get easily distracted when the next new idea comes along. I also want to make time for my other hobbies. Lately, there's also the fact that we've been dealing with thunderstorms rolling through, which does not do much for productivity.
5. Do you reward yourself for writing goals reached? How?
Sometimes. Sometimes I'll postpone watching/reading something until I've done some writing. Honestly, though, the best reward is actually getting stuff done!
