A.N.: Inspired a bit by my own lightbulb troubles (I've got a three-light lamp, and it can be hard to change on when another's shining in your eyes).
“AHHH!”
Lucy slapped her hands over her eyes, squeezing them shut against the bright light assaulting them. “Get that spotlight out of my face!”
“Sorry, Lucy!” The spotlight was obligingly moved, though Lucy waited for the aftereffects to fade before daring to open her eyes again. One of the stagehands smiled at her. “Just teaching the new kid the ropes.”
“On what, how to blind people?” She rubbed her face. “The light’s never been that bright, either – are you sure you put in--”
The bulb suddenly popped and went black. “Yeah, I think the new guy needs a new teacher.”
