Writing and all that jazz.

The only discouraging thing I heard about writing is that it takes forever to get something published. That, and there's no guarantee that everyone will like your writing (which really goes without saying).

I feel like there's actually more encouraging things about writing than there are discouraging. My English teacher was always talking about how great it is, how it can be so deep and expressive. It allows people to have a voice, it helps you generate ideas, and I think it gives the writer personal pleasure, too.

I still want to be a writer because I think it's fun.
