Sunday - Workout

If she could only tire herself out enough not to think.

Brier was not, in general, a fan of punching bags like the ones she had seen Reese and Buffy use in the fight loft.  She wasn't strong enough for them.  She could never get them to swing in that satisfying way that they did when Reese and Buffy hit them.  They only made tiny circles for her.   Still, she put her all into bearing down on it.

She was not what Zara needed.  Not what Anjuli needed.  She needed to be faster.  She needed to be stronger.  She needed to be braver - and no training was going to help her with that.  But strength? She could work on strength.

The trouble was, much as she wanted to loose herself in the practice, it seemed to have the opposite effect.  Between the dull thuds of her fists against the leather, all she could think about were the ways that she seemed to not be measuring up.
