I wish I could tell my two children that they will have a life of ease. Yet I know deep down that is not in the cards for them. They, especially Alix, are too much like me and their mother. That means they give a damn about everything. For as long as they choose to be involved in things, they will never be truly comfortable with the way the world is. That's the bittersweet truth of it all.
