A.N.: Went with Lucy discovering her powers for the first time, since where she got them and why is definitely a mystery. Don't expect an answer anytime soon, though -- I kinda like keeping it vague.
Okay, what the hell just happened?
Lucy looked down at her hands, as if they held all the answers. What had just happened? She’d been listening to Gary complain about having no ideas for his English paper. . .she’d felt this funny warmth building up inside of her. . .she’d snapped her fingers, and felt a jolt like a static shock jump from her to him. . .Gary had suddenly gotten this spacey look. . .and then, bam! He’d known exactly what to write about. I can – inspire people? But how? Why?
She stared for a moment more – then grinned. Oh, who cares? I’m magical!
