Massive Mass Post 1 (I've been gone a while...)
Wednesday, April 18: Be it because of your allergies, your weak stomach or your ideals today's image prompt show us something that makes you sick. (Warning: This one is a VERY graphic pic of dead bodies.)
Thursday, April 19: April is National Poetry Month. In celebration, write us a poem. It can be a haiku or a hallmark card, a sonnet or a limerick, or just some good ol' free verse.
Duty,
My life's purpose,
Taking precedence over all,
It is my saving grace,
And my Achille's heel.
My life's purpose,
Taking precedence over all,
It is my saving grace,
And my Achille's heel.
Friday, April 20: Tell us five rules you live by - and one that you have broken.
Rules I live by:
- Never kill unnecessarily.
- Honor before all else.
- Everyone deserves a second chance.
- Never strike an undefended being.
- Do not engage in any intimate relations with my crew.
- Thou shalt not kill.
Monday, April 23: Inspired by the exercises here, your writing challenge for today is to describe how one of your character's supporting cast views your character. Is this in agreement with how your character views him/herself? Radically different?
Naomi's best friend and the first officer on her space ship, Leena, thinks Naomi is brave, reckless, and kind of obsessed with her military career. Naomi, on the other hand, views herself as only doing her duty to her crew and people. She thinks she is making up for all the bad things she did as a teen and will always do whatever she can to keep her crew safe and accomplish her mission, even at the cost of her own life.
Wednesday, April 25: Today, share a picture of something that scares you.
