Thursday: Confidence
...a hundred words about confidence
Josh kept chewing at the end of his pen. The air moved lazily, only occasionally interrupted by the noise that Mrs Laurie kept throwing at it. She had written a single word on the board "Confidence"
"Thousands words - in fifteen minutes you`ll read your works out loud." He heard only half the sentence, the rest was lost in the sunny afternoon.
What was there to discuss about confidence anyway? You either had it or you didn`t. He popped the pencil out of his mouth and stretched on his desk. He pressed the wet wood against the back of Debbie's neck.
"Get lost." She hissed over her shoulder and her eyes narrowed in a deadly glare. She had chosen poisonous green lenses today.
"Hey, Debbie, go out with me!" He grinned. With a sigh of a exasperation and a roll of her eyes she turned her back on him. Josh's smile didn`t falter. He had managed to catch a glimpse of that blush, hidden beneath the purple bangs. Persistence could get you far.
