Wednesday curiosities in a roundabout
A/N: Setting this one with a rather older Marce, since it involves her youngest child Alix.
"Exactly what is it supposed to be?"
"A nautilus, Mama."
Attorney Delos Reyes raised an eyebrow as she examined the curious looking wicker coil. "Well I know nothing about thse sorts of critters, but I do wonder if its head is in the right place," she noted silently. Still, she had to admit that her daughter's skill with basket weaving was not one to be taken lightly.
Alix grinned up at her. "Is it nice, Mama?"
"I think so. It's quite complicated," Marce said. Well, the item had no practical value; what could one do with a wicker nautilus? Nevertheless she made sure it had a prominent place in the living room.
