Saturday adventure
Respond in some manner to this quote:
It is only in adventure that some people succeed in knowing themselves - in finding themselves. --Andre Gide
Marce's take:
So, so true! I only learned more about myself when I left home at sixteen. Emil rediscovered himself when I took him on adventures at school. Darren also had something similar, twice: first in West End then now in California. Mark discovered how protective he really could be when he had a rather serious (mis)adventure involving Ida and their eldest daughter. So on, and so forth.
But some people would beg to disagree. My sister says that adventure need not really involve leaving; it can involve just a simple realignment of perspective that changes everything. I don't know. I don't think such a thing is possible without an even minor change of scene.
