Friday: Raellyn's Chores list
Mowing the grass, iron the laundry, drop the dog off at the groomer's, sterilise the instruments in the autoclave, feed the Yeti, scrub down the larder...
List the chores that you do around the house, secret hideout, lab, or lair.
In the interests of full disclosure, you may also consider listing the chores you ought to do, but have been ignoring...
Chores? Yeah, some days it seems like my job is nothing but a list of chores. I've still got an everlasting torch to fix, and I've been tinkering with that for a year. I spend my days running odd errands, fixing small spells, making safety charms for the children, fishing my royal nieces out of whatever trouble they've gotten into most recently - though they've been scarily good, the past few months, either they're growing up or they're up to something, three guesses which - and generally being a sort of unofficial handywoman and messenger for the entire court. On top of that, it's about time for me to renew the ancient warding spells on the harbor again - it's not like we've used them in a couple decades, but the year that you forget is always the year that pirates show up and want to pillage.
As for stuff that I do in the castle - well, I watch the kids if pressed, I ward all the doors (they're huge doors) every few months, I lend a hand to the healer with herbs and stuff, because I'm no good with surgeries, the blood makes me sick, and, like I said, I run errands and messages. Not as much as I used to, though. You'd think that being a sorceress would lead to some more interesting duties. Oh, and I do try to keep up with my research. There's no use in having the journals of past sorceresses if I never learn anything from them, is there?
And there's my mother again, telling me to clean my room. Honestly. I'm nineteen! And it's my room!
