Munday: Perspective
My character from her long-estranged father's POV:
He knew she was a witch before he knew anything else about her, before she was even born. And yet, he's one of the the two men in her entire life who see the human side of her first and foremost, who see her as the one who needs to be protected at least some of the time -- as well as the one to depend upon to protect. So, she's more complex to him than she lets on to most people, often even her sisters. Maybe even to herself. And at the same time, of course, she is still his eldest, and so he also sees her the way everyone or thing sees her: the one responsible in all ways for her sisters. But he was around long enough to see all the vulnerabilities that parents see vis a vis their kids, and so he knows some of her bravado is exactly that. And that he caused it, even though after he first found out he didn't think he'd made much difference.
Because he knew she'd be a witch; he didn't fully get that she'd be a little girl too, and so he clings to that. Which is going to cause some issues here in my AU.
