Well -- I guess that's true enough, depending on the poem. The really nice ones about flowers and summer days and expressing your deepest inner self -- sure. That's definitely beautiful. But I don't think Mr. Poe was thinking of "Little Willy" rhymes or certain kinds of limericks when he wrote this. Of course, I'm a little surprised that this quote is attributed to him, given the sort of stuff he liked to write about in his poetry. . . I guess it's still beautiful, but damn could he be dark.
