Munday - History In The Making
What relation, if any, do your characters have with the history of their world/worlds? How are they shaped by it? What role do they play in the timeline of their universe?
Lucy doesn't have much of an impact on her world's history, save to be remembered as a great actress in due time. Despite having magical powers, she's always been more of my "slice of life" character, so I don't have any huge arcs planned for her.
As for Victor and his Secundus friends -- well. Sir Christopher's a man of legend, being His Majesty's White Knight and the slayer of the Jabberwock. His presence in the royal court has probably gone a long way in making Touched more acceptable and respected in society. I mean, people still don't usually feel that friendly, but they're willing to tolerate them a lot more. Richard and Lewis are also both pretty well-known in Secundus -- Richard for his amazing hats, Lewis for the incredible job he did in restoring one of the old parks and turning it into our beloved Wonderland Park. And of course Alice is famous as the best monster-slayer the city has ever seen. All of them have shaped Secundus into the sort of city Victor drops into.
After the events of the story, Victor ends up the most famous of them all -- everyone considers him a hero (except maybe himself for a while). He's pretty well known as the guy who saved Secundus from the Queen. Doc later gains a measure of fame as being the first guy to invent a time machine that doesn't require you to blow up a universe to power it. And his repair shop probably helps a lot of young Touched get off the ground. Hell, every Touched in the story probably helps the progress of science in their own unique way. So yeah, Victor and his compatriots have a pretty strong effect on their world's history, past and future. I wouldn't be surprised if Victor's actions were immortalized in some way by a grateful city (maybe a statue to him?).
Oh yeah, and while I'm babbling on about my epic crossover fanfic: It's up to Chapter 15! I don't know when I last updated on it, but there's a list of all the chapters currently up on that page.
