Twosday: Time To Change
Take a look at yourself from ten years ago, and then how you are today. Tell us two things that are different.
Well, ten years ago I would have been twenty. I'd have to say I was rather more naive then -- I was still in college, still learning my way around the adult world. Even though I'd had a lot of my illusions shattered by my stint in the asylum and on the streets, I still had a lot to learn. Being called crazy and learning that the world can be a pretty horrible place sometimes doesn't really prepare you for being an actual, functioning adult.
As for another difference. . .was it about then that I was just figuring out that I wanted to do theater for a living, instead of as a hobby? At any rate, back then I was a lot more into my music. Don't get me wrong, I love my violin and all the sounds I can coax out of it, but these days it's fallen a bit by the wayside in favor of acting. Back in college, though, music was what I was studying, so naturally it was a lot more on my mind. Sometimes I wonder what would have happened if I'd followed my original plan to be a musician. . .
