Wow. So ten years ago, I was eighteen going on nineteen...estranged from what family I had, a struggling student, and quite angry at the world.
First thing that's different: I actually fell in love. If anyone had told me ten years ago that I would fall hard for my best friend, I would have laughed. I only cared then for my studies, for my causes, and to stay out of prison. I didn't think that having such a passionate man in my life would change things.
Second thing that's different: I'm told that I laugh and smile more. Maybe it's because my life isn't a constant struggle nowadays. Maybe it's because I have wonderful friends, an amazing husband, and two adorable babies. Maybe it's because some of my dreams have finally come true.
