Tuesday and timing

Tell us about a time you were early, and a time you were late.

Ida's POV on this:

I became an adoptive mother very early. I was only twenty years old, a college student---and a working one at that, when I had to take in my goddaughter Nina. What could I do? Nina's biological mom and her great-grandmother were dead in a flood, Nina's grandparents refused to acknowledge her, and Nina's biological dad denied her very existence. Besides, the little baby got really attached to me and Mark. It took some time before I could legally adopt her, but by that time Nina was already walking, and calling me 'Mommy'. The point was pretty much moot.

As for the time I was late....well now. That time of the month is late again. I'm half-hoping it's just stress. Please.

EDIT: It's not stress. Now off to debate with Mark if we should get a new pink or blue baby blanket.
