"Well it's about time you showed up?" said the man behind the bar harshly.

Jay rolled his  eyes at the old man.

"Better late than never--Harlan. Besides you know why I'm here?"

Harlan knew why the young man was here and he wasn't happy about it. Just because he knew every petty thief that roamed the city--didn't mean he liked advertising the news that cops came to talk to him for information.

Nevertheless, Jay always kept his promises and never told anyone who his source was and for that Harlan was grateful.
However, this latest business of wanting to know about some high-end robberies had Harlan spooked and because of that he always kept looking over his shoulder thinking that someone was watching him and his place.

And it also didn't help that there was a guy in the corner who looked very suspicious, as well. It made Harlan think that someone was really out to get him.

For that reason Harlan was about to tell Jay something important--until all hell broke loose right in front of him when someone drew a gun out and began to shoot.

Leaving Harlan shocked and quite scared in not knowing what would happen next.
